This page contains the Terms & Conditions of both entry to the John Logie Baird  Awards and the use of the Venture Navigator website. Please ensure that you have read and agree to both of these sets of Terms & Conditions before entering.

Terms and Conditions of the John Logie Baird Awards Programme 

Confidentiality and Data Protection

The John Logie Baird Awards Programme incorporates the use of VentureNavigator Application tool and data supplied by entrants on the VentureNavigator registration form will be held by the GO Group (the “Organiser”) in accordance with the data protection policy of the John Logie Baird Awards Programme which follows below. If you wish to proceed with your application in the John Logie Baird Awards Programme you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to the following:

GO Group has licensed VentureNavigator platform to power the application process for the John Logie Baird Awards Programme. The data provided by the entrant in submitting their application to the John Logie Baird Awards Programme will be held by VentureNavigator under its own security arrangements. The Organiser of the John Logie Baird Awards Programme will have access to this information, but only for the purposes of the John Logie Baird Awards Programme.

The Organiser recognises that companies (entrants) may have concerns regarding confidentiality. The John Logie Baird Awards Programme assessors and judges will all have signed confidentiality agreements with the Organisers.

Data Protection Policy

By submitting your entry to the John Logie Baird Awards Programme through VentureNavigator, you agree that you have consented to and will be deemed to have consented to the storage and use by the Organiser and any of their agents, directors or employees of the following information for the purposes of operating, managing and judging the John Logie Baird Awards Programme:

(a) your name and that of your company

(b) contact address, telephone numbers, fax numbers and e-mail address

(c) all other information contained within the VentureNavigator Application Form

Report Card

In the event that you subsequently withdraw your consent to your information being used in accordance with this data policy prior to the final judging of the John Logie Baird Awards Programme, the Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entry you have made in the John Logie Baird Awards Programme.

The Organiser would also like to contact you from time to time regarding:

Future John Logie Baird Awards Programmes, competitions or events
Other information that the Organiser reasonably believes may be of interest to you
Opportunities to access help and advice for your business
Please let the Organiser know if, other than for the purposes of the John Logie Baird Awards Programme, you do NOT wish to be contacted.

The John Logie Baird Awards Programme

1. Awards

The John Logie Baird Awards Programme process is briefly described as follows:-

Applications are received by the GO Group via the completion of the VentureNavigator on-line application tool
Applicants may provide supplementary information as part of their application
Applications are filtered by GO Group, assessed and scored
Business plans are assessed and scored by internal and external experts
Selected applicants are invited to present to various assessment panels
Winners are selected by a Judging Panel made up of the prime partners

2. The decision of the Judging Panel is final

3. The winner(s) of the 2009 - 2010 Programme will be announced at an Awards Event to be held in Spring 2010.

4. The John Logie Baird Awards Programme winner(s) may be required to undergo a due diligence review and detailed analysis to the reasonable satisfaction of the Organiser following the Judging Panel before the Award can be confirmed.

Eligibility

To qualify to enter the John Logie Baird Awards Programme, your principal place of business must be in Scotland.

Details of the John Logie Baird Awards Programme process are available on the John Logie Baird Awards Programme website at www.johnlogiebairdawards.co.uk.

You may enter for as many Awards Categories as you wish.

Entries received after midnight on date of the entry deadline will not be eligible for the John Logie Baird Awards Programme.

The Organiser cannot accept responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion or delay to transmission of entry or for the John Logie Baird Awards

Programme Application

By submitting your entry to the John Logie Baird Awards Programme you and your company agree to participate in PR surrounding the John Logie Baird Awards Programme, including interviews with media and quotes in press releases.

The Organiser has the right to amend the John Logie Baird Awards Programme rules, dates and processes without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on the John Logie Baird Awards Programme website at www.johnlogiebairdawards.co.uk.

The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached the terms and conditions of the John Logie Baird Awards Programme.

All expenses associated with entry to the John Logie Baird Awards Programme incurred by entrants, including travel and subsistence, are the sole responsibility of the entrant.
